Illingworth is a village within the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale, in West Yorkshire, England. It is situated 3.3 miles (5.3 km) north-west of Halifax and was part of the suburb named Ovenden. In the 20th century it expanded sufficiently to become a ward in its own right under Calderdale Metropolitan Borough.
Historically, Illingworth was in the ecclesiastical parish of Halifax in the Morley Division of the
wapentake of Agbrigg and Morley.
