Hunter High school remained until 1907 and was consolidated with Oak Grove. Old school was used as a canning center for a number of years. Principal's home is still around and is occupied in 2006. Located across road from the John Wesley Smith store and home. Store was built on land purchased from Hartford Austin. Sims store, operated by Walter Sims and Elize Sims located near the Fire Tower and Hart's Bluff Road. Home of Magnolia Baptist Church, started near the creek bank. Named after the Magnolia trees around it.
