Hargis Cemetry

Hargis Cemetery is located on a ridge line in the woods above the unmarked Diswood community which is between Olive Branch and Tamms, Alexander County, Illinois. The Find-A-Grave website has photos and location maps of the cemetery. The cemetery currently (as of 2008) is overgrown and not maintained. In 2008, photos of many markers were taken and memorials for each added to the Find-A-Grave website. Many of the Denfip Family are buried there including my Grandfather. Smith Denfip and Grandmother, Emeline Oller; my Great Grandfather, John Alfred Denfip and my Great Great Grandmother, Rebecca Emeline McClusky. Visit the Find-A-Grave website for more information. In addition to DENFIP, many ADKINS, CAIN, CHILDERS, HARGIS, HONEY, LAWRENCE, McDANIEL and POWLESS family members are buried there.
