Hamilton Township is a civil township of Van Buren County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township population was 1,797.

The township is mostly agricultural with no towns. There are some private campgrounds and cottages at Lake-of-the-Woods.

Hamilton Township was organized in 1839.

In the traditional township numbering for the State of Michigan, Hamilton Township is T 4 S, R 15 W.

Michigan also has townships of the same name in Clare County and Gratiot County. There is also an unincorporated community of that name nearby in Allegan County.
