Hambledon Rural District was formed in 1894 and covered the most southwestern corner of Surrey, England. In 1933 it was expanded to absorb some parishes from the abolished Farnham Rural District, swapped further parishes with Guildford Rural District, and also gave up territory to Haslemere Urban District and Guildford Municipal Borough.
In 1974 the rural district was abolished and the area transferred to the newly-formed Waverley District or Borough.
