Halesowen Rural District existed from 1894 until 1925 when it was absorbed into the neighbouring urban district of Halesowen. The small parishes within Halesowen Rural District all eventually became suburbs of Halesowen or were absorbed into the town itself. Halesowen became part of the county of West Midlands in 1974.
