Hagarty and Jones was used as a census subdistrict in 1881 and 1891 Censuses of Canada. The two townships do not have a common border. It is possible that the intervening township, Sherwood was also part of this subdistrict. Ontario GenWeb has a sketchmap of the original townships. If possible, it is best to designate the original township rather than use Hagarty and Jones as a place name. |
