Guilsborough Hundred is situated to the northwest of the county with its northern border facing the county of
Leicestershire.
The following description from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72 is provided by the website A Vision of Britain Through Time (University of Portsmouth Department of Geography).
- "The hundred contains seventeen parishes, and part of another. Acres: 42,054. Population: 10,663. Houses: 2,460."
