A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Fulfen from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"FULFEN, an extra-parochial tract in Lichfield district, Stafford; near Lichfield. Population: 10. House: 1."

Fulfen was a civil parish from 1858 until 1934 when it became part of the parish of Streethay, remaining within Lichfield Rural District. In 1974 the area became part of the Lichfield municipal district.
