Erringden is a civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale in West Yorkshire, England. According to the census, from 2001 to 2011, the population had dropped from 194 to 159.

Plans of an estate in Erringden produced in 1761 are the first known work by the land surveyor and engineer Robert Whitworth, who went on to become one of the leading canal engineers of his generation.

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Erringden from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"ERRINGDEN, a township in Halifax parish, [West Riding of] Yorkshire; adjacent to the York and Manchester railway, 7 miles NNW of Halifax. It includes part of Hebden-Bridge village, and part of Mytholmroyd hamlet; and has a fair, at Erringden-Moor, on the Friday after 11 Oct. Acres: 2,980. Real property: £4,960; of which £28 are in quarries. Population: 1,764. Houses: 371."

Historically, Erringden was in the ecclesiastical parish of Halifax in the Morley Division of the wapentake of Agbrigg and Morley. From 1894 until 1939, Erringden was located in Todmorden Rural District and from 1939 until 1974 in Hepton Rural District.
