Enfield is a town in Halifax County, North Carolina, United States, and was founded in 1740. As of the 2010 United States Census, the town's population was 2,532, which reflected an increase of almost 8% from the population of 2,347 in 2000. It is the oldest town in Halifax County, and was once the world’s largest raw peanut market. Enfield is part of the Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina Micropolitan Statistical Area.
