East Preston Rural District existed in Sussex from 1894 until 1933. On its abolition parishes were transferred to Chichester Rural District, Worthing Rural District, and Worthing Municipal Borough.

Geographically Arundel Municipal Borough, Littlehampton Urban District and Worthing Municipal Borough are all within East Preston Rural District. However, Worthing and Littlehampton have sufficient populations to be separate administrations and Arundel was an "ancient borough" and which was made into a "municipal borough" in 1835.
