A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Dueshill from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"DUESHILL, a township in Holystone parish, Northumberland; on the river Coquet, 6 miles W of Rothbury. Acres: 2,505. Population: 29. Houses: 5."

Dueshill was originally a township in the ancient parish of Holystone, Northumberland. It became a separate civil parish in 1866 and in 1889 it was abolished and absorbed into the parish of Alwinton. (Source:A Vision of Britain through Time)
