Dennistoun is a district of Glasgow situated to the east of the city centre and north of the River Clyde. Dennistoun was originally occupied by Glasgow city merchants who built villas here, close to their places of business. Urban development and the building of tenements date from the 1860s. To the north is the Alexandria Park.
