Couvin (in walloon Couvén) is a French-speaking Belgian town in the Walloon region, in the Namur province.

Couvin was one of the 23 "Bonnes Villes" of the Liège principality. In 1814 after the demise of Napoleon's Empire, Couvin remained part of France, and belonged to the Ardennes département. After the 1815 Treaty of Paris, Couvin became part of the Dutch Kingdom, together with Mariembourg, Fagnolle, Bouillon and Philippeville.
