Cosgrove is a village and civil parish in Northamptonshire, England about 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Stony Stratford, 6 miles (9.7 km) north of central Milton Keynes and 12 miles (19.3 km) south of Northampton along the A508 road. It is also 8 miles (12.9 km) southeast of Towcester along the major A5 road (which is based on the Roman road Watling Street). The River Tove passes to the east of the village flowing into the River Great Ouse just south, the latter marking the boundary with Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. The Grand Union Canal passes through the middle of the village. According to the UK census of 2011 the parish had a population of 521. In a local reorganization of parish boundaries in 1951, the area of Cosgrove was increased when the neighbouring parish of Furtho was abolished an split between Cosgrove and the new parish of Old Stratford.
