Church Street Graveyard is located in downtown Mobile, Alabama where it is completely encircled by a brick wall constructed about ten years after the opening of the cemetery in 1819. The cemetery is owned by the City of Mobile and was at one time the city's main place of burial. It was closed to interments in 1898, but for special cases permitted by the City.
