Cheadle and Gatley was an urban district in Cheshire, England which included the town of Cheadle and the hamlet of Gatley between 1894 and 1974. In addition to Cheadle and Gatley the urban district contained the parish of Stockport Etchells. The urban district became a single civil parish in 1930.

The urban district was merged into Stockport Metropolitan Borough in Greater Manchester in 1974.

Cheadle and Gatley was a civil parish created in 1930 by uniting the civil parish of Cheadle with the civil parish of Stockport Etchells (which actually contained the hamlet of Gatley). Since 1974 it has been an unparished area in the county of Greater Manchester. The population was 31,511 in 1951, and 57,224 in 2001.
