Resources

The beautifully maintained 35 acre cemetery is nonsectarian (open to everyone) and affordable. They do not require the use of vaults (as many cemeteries do).

Dating back to 1794, the Brick Church Cemetery is listed in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and is the final resting place of many historic figures, including Revolutionary War veterans and Daniel Carter Beard, the first National Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America.

Old records say it is in West Hempstead, sometimes called Reformed Church Cemetery. It is approx. 35 acres in size with many sections, such as a large Hebrew section, a large Ukraine section and a large civil war section.
