Boleskine and Abertarff is a parish, which lies in Highland Council Area, some 19 miles (30 km) west of Kingussie. It stretches east and south from Loch Ness.

Prior to 1975 the parish was located in the old county of Inverness, which was replaced by the Highland Region and in 1996 by the unitary authority of the Highland Council Area.

The parish has an area of 475.7 sq. km (183.6 sq. miles). It includes the hamlet of Boleskine, Fort Augustus, Foyers and also the settlements of Inverfarigaig, Lochgarthside, Whitebridge, Coiltry and Aberchalder. There does not appear to be a settlement named Abertarff.

For a 19th century description of the parish, see the description from The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland (1868) as transcribed and copyrighted by Colin Hinson and provided on the web by GENUKI.
