Located a few miles southeast of Clarksville in that area marked on early maps as "Peters Prairie." (Though there has never been a community of that name.) It's a small family graveyard in a wooded area (heavily overgrown and not very well cared for) surrounded by cultivated fields at least ½ mile from County Road 4135, the nearest public road. This was part of the headright survey of Hudson Posey Benningfield, who was a very early settler; though he departed the county before the Civil War, several of his family are buried here. There are fourteen known burials, the earliest of which is that of S. E. Fowler, who died 16 Jun 1885.
