Bedford Rural District was located in Bedfordshire, England from 1894 to 1974.

The district largely surrounded but did not include the Municipal Borough of Bedford.

It was enlarged in 1934 when it absorbed the parishes of the disbanded Eaton Socon Rural District. In 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, it was merged with Bedford and Kempston urban district to form the new non-metropolitan Bedford District.
