A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Banbury Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "[Banbury] hundred consists of two portions, on the northern border of the county, separated 3¼ miles from each other by the hundred of Bloxham. Acres: 21,186. Population: 10,393. Houses: 2,265."
Descriptions of Banbury Hundred are very limited. Above is the only brief one found. For a longer description see The hundred of Banbury: Introduction as provided by British History Online in the Victoria County History of Oxfordshire, volume 10, pp 1-4
