Auckland Rural District was a rural local authority in County Durham, England from 1894 to 1937. It was created under the Local Government Act 1894 based on the Auckland rural sanitary district and covered an area around and including the civil parish of Bishop Auckland.

The rural district was abolished in 1937 and was replaced by the Crook and Willington Urban District which existed until 1974.
