Aston Somerville is a small village approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Evesham in Worcestershire, England. Aston Somerville was transferred from Pebworth Rural District in Gloucestershire to Evesham Rural District in Worcestershire in 1931. (Source:GENUKI and Wikipedia)

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Aston Somerville from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"ASTON-SOMERVILLE, a parish in the [registration] district of Evesham and county of Gloucester; on the river Isborne, 4 miles S by E of Evesham [railway] station. Post Town, Broadway. Acres: 993. Real property: £1,475. Population: 105. Houses: 21. The manor has been held, for upwards of six centuries, by the family of Somerville; of whom were William Somerville, the poet, author of "The Chase," and Lord Somerville, the distinguished agriculturist, who died in 1819. A salt spring occurs, and interesting fossils have been found. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol. Value: £272. Patron: Lord Somerville. The church is very good."
