Arisaig and Moidart is a coastal parish located in the Highland Council Area, some 21 miles (34 km) west of Fort William in the Highland Council Area and 23 miles (37 km) northeast of Tobermory in Argyll and Bute. The Gazetteer for Scotland provides a fairly large-scale map of the parish. The parish is named after the settlement of Arisaig and the peninsula named Moidart on which Arisaig is located.

Prior to 1975 the parish was located in the old county of Inverness-shire, which was replaced by the Highland Region and in 1996 by the unitary authority named the Highland Council Area.

The parish has an area of 467.8 sq. km (180.6 sq. miles). It includes the village of Arisaig and the following smaller settlements: Back of Keppoch, Glenfinnan, Bunacaimb, Druimindarroch, Glasnacardoch, Gortenachullish, Inverailort, Keppoch, Kinloid, Lettermorar, Lochailort, Meoble, Peanmeanach, Portnaluchaig, Ranochan and Scammadale.
