Arcade is a town in Wyoming County, New York, United States. The population was 4220 at the 2020 census.[1] The Town of Arcade has within its borders a village also called Arcade. Arcade is in the southwestern corner of Wyoming County. [edit] History
The Town of Arcade was established in 1807 as the "Town of China." The name changed to Arcade in 1866. Arcade was previously part of the Town of Sheldon. The Arcade and Attica Railroad provides freight service along its right-of-way and excursions in passenger trains powered by steam locomotives.
