- "The village of Annbank is located 5 miles (7 km) east of Ayr in South Ayrshire. It sits close to the East Ayrshire border, 2 miles (3 km) east of Auchincruive and 2 miles (3 km) north of Sundrum and was originally a mining community with a rail link to Ayr harbour. Located in attractive countryside amidst diary farms, Annbank lies near the River Ayr where, at nearby Enterkine Estate, there is a Wildlife Reserve."
