Pam, I have heard from Harold, he has filled me in on family history. Your gmother and his mother were sisters, their parents were William A. and Alice Zerbe Smith Vandergrift. Their brother was Ray Ernest Vandergrift born 6 Oct 1898 Covington, Miami, OH. The parents of William A. Vandergrift were John born 1846 IN, died 1920, and Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Abraham Miller and Lydia Detrick. Elizabeth was born 1846 died 1906 William and Elizabeth had William A, Sarah A. born 14 Aug 1868, Bradford County, OH, and Lydia C. born 16 Dec 1870.--henk 18:30, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
