I am removing the birth date of 28 Apr 1655 Cambridge, Massachusetts. That belongs to William Russell, s/o William Russell and Martha of Cambridge. He m. 1682-3 Abigail Winship who lived until 1727 according to History of Lexington. William Russell of Salem appears to have bought land in 1674 from Thomas Burtt, according to Descendants of William Russell of Salem, so born by 1653 to be of legal age. --Jrich 18:08, 2 June 2012 (EDT)

I am also removing the death date of 17 May 1744 in Salem. The given death date is found in an Arlington graveyard and belongs to the same William Russell as the birth date, i.e., a different man. According to Descendants of William Russell of Salem, his will dated 11 Jan 1731, and it was consented to by the widow on 22 Dec 1733, so the above date is impossible. I do not have full access to the Descendants of William Russell to cite it and leave that for interested parties to complete. --Jrich 18:19, 2 June 2012 (EDT)
