THE FOLLOWING IS INCORRECT INFORMATION AND IS NOT PATRICK GILMORE'S SON WILLIAM NOR IS IT MARTHA CURRY:

Husband's full name; William GILMORE birth ca 1774 Mecklenburg North Carolina Marr. 24 Jan 1797 Mecklenburg North Carolina Death: 5 Mar 1818 Montgomery Kentucky. Places of residence, Mecklenburg Co NC, Montgomery Co KY. Father Patrick GILMORE Mother Martha HAYS Wife's full name: Margaret CURRY Birth 17 Aug 1778 Death 9 Jan 18657 Callaway Missouri Buried Jan 1777 Wise Cemetery Ham's Prairie Callaway Mo.  (Yvonne's note: the Martha buried in Calloway, Missouri was born 14 august 1786 and died 9 January 1867 according to the death and cemetery records. This could not be Martha Curry, because she married William Gilmore, son of Patrick Gilmore 24 January 1797, making her only 11 years old. Furthermore, a William Gilmore is found as noted above in 1800 in Montgomery County, Kentucky. Patrick Gilmore's son William is found on the 1800 census in Mecklenberg, NC living right next to his father. ADDITIONALLY, ON THE 1870 CENSUS OF SAINT AUBERT, CALLAWAY, MISSOURI, A WILLIAM GELMORE, BORN ABOUT 1809, KENTUCKY IS FOUND LIVING WITH RICHARD WISE, AGE 70 AND HIS WIFE, PATSEY, AGE 60. THIS MOST LIKELY IS PATSEY'S BROTHER WILLIAM H. GILMORE, BORN FEBRUARY 19, 1810. NO OTHER GILMORE'S ARE LISTED WITH THIS FAMILY. This William H. Gilmore, born 1810, could not have married Martha Patsey Henderson as the William Gilmore who married Martha Patsey Henderson married in 1816 in Sumner, Tennessee, making William H. Gilmore only 6 years of age. The Wise Cemetery near Ham's Prairie, Callaway, Missouri gives "Martha Gilmore, born August 14, 1786, died January 9, 1867). Children: 1. James C. GILMORE born 321 Dec 1799 Mecklenburg North Carolina Mar 17 Mar 1832 Montgomery Kentucky to Adalaide YATES died Apr 1873 Callaway Missouri 2. male born 1800-1810 3. William's widow Martha moved to Callaway County Missouri in 1839.

INFORMATION ON THE WILLIAM GILMORE, SON OF WILLIAM GILMORE AND MARTHA CURRY, WHO MARRIED MARTHA "PATSY" HENDERSON:

Parts of Sumner County, Tennessee became Wilson County in 1818. Patsey and William were married in 1816 just prior to that change. In 1840 William Gilmore lived in Walton County, Florida by Hugh Gilmore (from Cumberland County; Moore County was once part of Cumberland County) 975.9 X2Pa, p. 007 (census 2298). There was one male 40-50, 1 female 30-40, 2 males 5-10, 2 males 10-15 and 1 female under 5. These ages correspond with Florida, Samuel, Elizabeth and their mother. All other Gilmores in North Carolina have been eliminated as Florida's father. William Gilmore is found on the census in 1820 in Moore County and in 1830 in Cumberland County, close to Hugh Gilmore. Florida is found living with his brother's family(Samuel) and his mother, nicknamed Patsy, 1850 census, Moore County. In 1860 Florida is found on the census in Anson County, as an overseer, his brother Samuel and family is also found living in Anson County in 1860. In 1870 Florida is still living in Anson County with a family of his own. He is found again in Anson County in 1880. At this time, a sister, Elizabeth and her husband, William Mosley are living with them. The marriage record of Jonas Florida Gilmore to Margaret Gaddy in 1885 gives William Gilmore as his father and Martha as his mother. In 1850 Hugh Gilmore is found again in Cumberland County and William Gilmore is apparently deceased, as there is no further record of him. A Thomas Henderson that had been living next door to Patrick Gilmore in Augusta County, VA earlier was found also in Sumner County, TN in 1820. I do not know yet if that Thomas Henderson is Martha's father or not. Patrick Gilmore, Jr. was also married in that area. ▼References   Moore County, NC Census, 975.6352 X20, p. 121.   GS Film, GS Film 38251, pt. 8, p. 89 and GS film #38252, gives Florida'smother's name.   Patron notification sheets, In possession of Yvonne J.
