An online tree says these to be the parents: Family:Willem Wessels and Swaantie Harms (1)--henk 14:43, 7 February 2015 (UTC)

- I'm not completely convinced. If those were his parents, I would expect names 'Swaantje' and 'Harm' for his children. Instead I see 'Saartje', 'Arend', 'Klaas', and 'Trijnje'. Even if 'Saartje' is equivalent to 'Swaantje', where is 'Harm'? (But then again, where is 'Popke' from his wife's side?)
- n.b. according to the stamboom, 'Trijnje' is the mother of Aagtje, and 'Klaas' is the maternal grandfather of Aagtje. But that still doesn't provide a source for 'Saartje' or 'Arend'.
