There is an online stamboom which states that Trijntje's parents are Arjen Wijbes Steensma and Eeke Jelles Orsma, and she is born about 1770. There is no such baptismal record at Sint Jacobiparochie, no obvious gap in the record, and evidence that other children born before and after were baptized.

There is a baptismal record at Sint Jacobiparochie 31 Dec 1769 for a Trijntje daughter of Arjen Jansen (schipper) and Tjitske Pijters.
