Is Tjipke male or female? I saw that too, but GENLIAS clearly has "V". But it's been wrong before. --Pkeegstra 07:59, 29 February 2012 (EST)

- Well, Tjipke is a man's name and the V is just a transcription error. There is a voornaam database here which can help when you're unsure if a name is male or female. That site also has the Nederlandse Familienamenbank which is helpful. I haven't looked more at Thomas Heeringa other than this birth record. - No. I'm hoping Susan will turn up a marriage record with parents' names, but for now all I have to go on is the date of birth and the name similarity. But it's pretty convincing; I looked for other matches because I thought the gender on this one was wrong, and I didn't see any others that were close. --Pkeegstra 10:12, 29 February 2012 (EST)
