t's a bit complicated, because Antje Eilander and Louwe Douwes Oostma weren't legally married. Louwe recognized his first child Douwe at the birth declaration so his child got his last name. But he was not present at the birth declaration of the second child Tjerk (being in prison at that time) and he did not recognize the child. When Tjerk wanted to marry and request the extract from his birth record, they discovered that he was legally not a son of Louwe and the birth record was changed and his mother was called unmarried. His last name was changed to Eilander. He asked his mother for a marriage permit, 31 Jan 1843 (still with the surname Oostma) . Tjerk was at the time living in Scharmer (Province of Groningen) https://allefriezen.nl/.../043ff9b9-8567-4ef5-8eb8... But I think the marriage didn't proceed, because Tjerk died unmarried 27 Dec 1887 in Scharmer as Tjerko Louwes Eilander http://allegroningers.nl/.../593060da-13c5-d879-6e58...--HenkCS 14:15, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
