Incorrect Identification as Caplin Cove [23 September 2019]

The reference to Caplin Cove, Newfoundland is incorrect. Thomas Rossiter settled at Caplin Bay, Ferryland District, Newfoundland. The settlement was renamed Calvert in 1922. There were several Caplin Cove/Bay, etc. in Newfoundland, which was one of the reasons that the name was changed to Calvert by the Government. There are many instances where the same/similar place names have led to confusion with the mail service and the recording of the settlement's name in official documents.--Kreddigan 11:41, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
