Person talk:Susanna Ross (1)

Not sure this is the Susanna who died at Malden in 1739. [8 June 2011]

The Susanna Wilson who died at Malden 15 Dec 1739, wife of Jacob, was either 72 or 74 y. old making her born 1666-1668. It's possible that she's the daughter of James and Mary (Goodenow) Ross if you slip her in between Dorothy and Sarah. Splitting the difference, that would make her born around October 1668. Jacob Wilson, according to Malden VR, did marry one Susanna Roas 20 May 1696. Another possible husband for Susanna is John Gage of Bradford who married one Susannah Ross 25 Dec. 1706.--Jaques1724 21:50, 7 June 2011 (EDT)

I removed the death date. The cited source, Cutter, did not say who Susannah married, and the death date applies to the wife of Jacob Wilson. According to NEHGR 157:230, it was the daughter of Fennel Ross and Hannah Bull that married Jacob Wilson, not this Susannah. This is based on Jacob Wilson indemnifying Malden from charges for his wife's sister, Hannah Ross. Both Hannah and Susannah's birth are found in Ipswich and the birth is in 1666 which agrees with her age at death. Descendants of Jacob Wilson of Braintree says she is the daughter of John and Mary (Osborn) Ross of Malden, but this article claims it mis-cited Savage, who does not support that. --Jrich 19:40, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
