Re Susan Smith - I have found info on photos of Bible pages originally posted on Ancestry.com by L.H.Betsch to Harshfield Betsch Family Tree, which says they are from the Family Bible of Susan Howard Smith, third wife of Nathan Smith. Bible Records 1 (Family Record - Deaths page)clearly shows name "Susan Root" - no death date, in a different ink than the other entries. Bible Records 2 (Family Record - Births page) shows "Susan Smith" Jany 30, 1820 in between entries for Christy Ann Smith Oct 30th 1816 and Nathan B. Smith Apr 20, 1822. Bible Records 3 (Family Record - Marriages page)shows "Daniel W. Root & Susan Smith" with no marriage date
