Removed death date of 4 Dec 1723. This death of Sarah Bixby/Bixbee is listed twice in Boxford VRs, both explicitly calling her the wife of Joseph, not Jonathan. One Find A Grave memorial gives her maiden name as Gould. Of course that doesn't stop another memorial from calling her the wife of Jonathan with maiden name Smith, but since neither have pictures, they aren't worth much consideration. A list of the church members of Topsfield found in NEHGR, p. 19:213-4, includes both "41. Sarah Bixby wife of Joseph" and "66. Sarah Wife of Jonathan Bixby". --Jrich 21:24, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

Agreed, The Bixby family history quite explicitly defines the spouse of Joseph as Sarah Gould. However, it does additionally reference Sarah Smith as likely wife of Jonathan with a specific reference as to Jonathan's widow "Sarah" - the Topsfield church dismissed, in January, 1702-3, ten women members to the church at Boxford, among them widow Bixby (widow of sergeant Joseph), and Sarah, wife of Jonathan Bixby. https://archive.org/stream/genealogyofdesce00bixb/genealogyofdesce00bixb_djvu.txt--Granitehead 18:25, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
