[add comment] [edit] Death dates make no sense [1 December 2011]Given that her children are born between 1746 and 1767, how can the death dates of 1727 or 1743/4 make sense? --Pkeegstra 06:07, 1 December 2011 (EST) For what it's worth, David Kipp Conover has her at http://www.conovergenealogy.com/connet/connet-o/p4.htm#i346 w/nine children with plausible birthdates and 1 impossible.--Scot 11:18, 1 December 2011 (EST) I think WeRelate is missing a generation compared to him. He has a Gerret Covenhoven (1716) son of Jacob Willemse van K and Sarah Schenk, and Jacob 1746 thru Mary 1767 are children of Gerret and Neeltje Schenk. But which of the children he gives for Jacob Willemse and Sarah do you see as impossible? The oldest is born 1706, after the 1705 wedding, and the youngest is 1725, before the 1727 death date. Should I go ahead and add in the lost generation, then? --Pkeegstra 12:25, 1 December 2011 (EST) I mistook Matthias death date for his birthdate. I had no information in my records for Sara other than her parentage and christening. Neither did I have Jacob WVK at all, just his parents. Attempting to sort out all of these intertwined marriages between cousins and the plethora of individuals with similar or even identical names is monumental. Although DKC shows no sources his data seems credible. He lives in Salt Lake, so should have ready access to them.--Scot 13:58, 1 December 2011 (EST) The Conover genealogy appears to have been published as a book. I'm just guessing that he's starting with that. BTW, the site is a MySource. --Pkeegstra 14:41, 1 December 2011 (EST) |
