Chelmsford VR, p. 245: HARTWELL, Sarah of Concord, and John Gould, at Concord, Apr. 16, 1717. Hand-book of Hartwell Genealogy, p. 38: "It seems very improbable that a mere girl of the age of Sarah, should, in those days, have married a man old enough to be her father."

Bailey's Early Connecticut Marriages from Church Records, shows the marriage of George Woolcot & Mary Hartwell on 7 Nov 1722, and Barbour's records for Lebanon show birth of daughter Mary in 1734 to George and Mary. According to Source:Rudd, Alice Böhmer. Wolcott Genealogy, p. 63, he married Sarah's sister Mary, the birthdate from Barbour is wrong and should be 1724 based on the family Bible which lists all 10 children in their family.

I moved the Wolcott marriage to Mary's page, but simply detached the John Gould marriage. It clearly happened, but needs some investigation to determine who the correct Sarah Hartwell is. It probably was not a 15 year old girl. --Jrich 15:30, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
