[add comment] [edit] Using censuses [9 February 2022]I have added census entries and their sources in the standard WeRelate style from the information you have supplied. The large box in a census source can take a line for each of the inhabitants of the house (or just one selected line if the individual is a lodger in a boarding house, or a prisoner, come to that). These entries can be copied from one family member and pasted to another. Both actions save a lot of entry time. I have also removed the "Place:" entry for each person and replaced it with the parish and the county. Unless the "[[Place:......]]" description includes ", Dorset, England", it does not fall into the right place in our place database. By taking out the square brackets and "Place:", the software does not check the place database and errors (the enumerator's or your own) are passed over. Birthplaces and birthyears are recorded from the source to the life events part of the description. Regards, --Goldenoldie 20:39, 9 February 2022 (UTC) |
