Person talk:Sarah Bush (1)

Some say she had a second marriage (to Jacob Kibbee) [20 February 2016]

Obviously a death in Virginia strongly suggests she had a second marriage, and proving that death date would be dependent on proving the marriage.

There is no marriage to Jacob Kibbee in Enfield, but there is a marriage (Vol. 2, p. 1760) to Nathanil Mials and Sarah Sittorn of Somers in 1737/38. Also found in Barbour records for Somers, CT.

[Side note: The Somers records show the death of Sarah, w. Jacob Kibbee, on 10 Feb 1771. The copy filmed by NEHGS, p. 75, has a handwritten note "1741 prob."]

One would expect that the Sarah Sittorn that married Nathaniel "Mighals, Migals, Miels" was the daughter, since they had several children, including a son Nathaniel b. 1751 posthumously after which she m. 1759 Jacob Green. Of course that would mean the daughter did not marry Samuel Root of Westfield as is currently shown... --Jrich 23:09, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
