1. Samuel Sprague of Duxbury (s/o John Sprage and Ruth Bassett) m. 1694 Ruth Alden and d. Rochester 1740 in 71st y. (b. abt. 1670)

2. Anthony Sprague and Elizabeth Bartlett of Hingham had a son Samuel b. 8 Mar 1672, who m. Elizabeth Huit according to History of Hingham and disappears from Hingham records about 1720.

This page shows father Anthony (matches #2), birth date 8 Mar 1670 (mixture of #1 and #2) in Duxbury (#1), death date of 1740 (#1) in Hingham (neither). The source is the never reliable Ancestry trees. It is clearly an admixture of the two Samuels.

Samuel #1 is already represented by Person:Samuel Sprague (1). Since this Samuel is included in the family of Anthony, and there already is a page for #1, the dates are going to be made to agree with Anthony's son, i.e., Samuel #2. --Jrich 17:45, 29 October 2011 (EDT)
