According to my notes, the Samuel Frazier who married Ann Allen was the son of John Frazier and Jennet Gay, and was the Sam who moved to Mason Co. W Va by 1800. It appears this John Frazier was the son of John Frazier and Isabella Moody. This Samuel and his wife Ann named one of their sons Robert Allen. One genealogy board post says this same moved to Mason Co W Va, owing a large tax bill in VA.
John Watkins Frazier and Margaret Paul also had a son named Samuel, but my records show he moved to Ohio by 1850, and then Iowa when Margaret & family moved to those areas. There were likely other Samuels in this same family. I am trying to do a time line to sort it out.
On the 1810 census, Samuel Frager (Frazier) in Mason Co had 3 sons and 4 daughters. The three sons were Samuel, William and Robert Allen. I am not sure who the daughters were. In 1820, there was a Samuel Frazier and John Forber listed, with a Nathan Gillespy close by. By 1830, all three sons were listed, Samuel, William and Allen (Robert Allen), with John, William, Betsy and Sarah Gillespie close by in Mason Co.
I think the son of John Frazier and Jannet Gay is the Samuel Frazier moving to Mason Co, due to the Gays being intermarried with the Gillespies, and James, his brother, marrying a Gillespie.
