Jim, the only thing that bothers me about this page, is my oral history notes show Samuel, son of John & Isabella Frazier, married Mary. I have not found errors in the oral history, but it is certainly possible that it is in error. I wonder if Mary could have been a first wife.
I just added the following record to Samuel's page:
Vol. 2 - 1823-1824-1825 - File No. 926.--Frazier, &c., vs. Paul and wife. John Watkins Frazer, James Frazer, Isabella Frazer, Samuel Craig Frazer and Polly Frazer, children and heirs of Samuel Frazer, complain no one has taken out letters of administration, but their mother, Isabella (who has since married James Paul)has continued in possession. Prayer to have dower assigned and estate settled.
As this record clearly shows, the mother of all 5 of Samuel's children is Isabella. If there was a Mary (as Samuel's first wife), it would have been a very short marriage.
There is a Samuel Frazier that married a Mary, but I can't quite place them:
- Page 303.--19th May, 1798. Samuel (mark) Frazier's will, living on waters of Christian's Creek--To wife, Mary; to 2 daughters, Jean and Ann (land adjoining Nicholas Spring); son, William; son, James. Proved, 26th September, 1803.
Any ideas on this one?
Best regards,
Jim:)
