Thomas a Becket and Thomas More Were two different people. What the had in common was they were both Archbishops of Canterbury who were martyred for not yielding to their king. Thomas a Becket was murdered in 1170 during the reign of Henry,II Thomas More was convicted of treason and executed in 1535 by Henry, VIII Both were subjects of notable films Becket in "Lion in Winter" and More in "A Man for All Seasons"--Scot 20:35, 16 May 2011 (EDT)
