Please provide a source for the recent change to birth and death dates. A significant source (Lundy) says that Robert Spencer died after 1492. The narrative added to support the revised dates sounds like something generated by a genealogical program, not an actual source. Although Lundy does not provide a source for the death date, Charles Cawley (Medieval Lands) has the same information (died after 1492). Neither of these sources is aware of the parents of Robert Spencer, another reason to suspect the narrative, unless it is based on recent research, in which case the research needs to be cited.
