1 Pieter WIERENGA (Peter Wieringer), Boerenknecht, geboren op 17‑05‑1824 te Ulrum, overleden circa 1863 te Grand Haven, MI USA. Circa 40 jaar voordat zijn vrouw Aaltje Oostema overleed in 1903. Ze emigreerden enkele maanden na hun huwelijk, in de herfst van 1849, op een schip genaamd Leila. Ze vestigden zich in Grand Haven, MI USA.

Gehuwd op 24‑jarige leeftijd op 19‑04‑1849 te Leens met Aaltje (Alice) OOSTEMA, 18 jaar oud, Dienstmeid, geboren op 04‑01‑1831 te Warfhuizen, gedoopt op 03‑04‑1831 te Warfhuizen, overleden mei 1903 te Grand Haven, MI USA. Longontsteking. Leefde 40 jaar langer dan haar man. Had 10 kinderen waarvan er maar 2 overleefden, aldus Mary Warbasse.

1. Jantje (Jane) WIERENGER, geboren op 24‑05‑1855 te MI USA. In the 1860 census was ze 4 jaar oud. Overleden circa 1907 te Grand Rapids, MI USA. Longontsteking.

Gehuwd met Hendrik (Henry) van der VEER (Vander Vere), overleden voor 1907. In ieder geval voor zijn vrouw die weduwe was toen ze overleed in circa 1907. Mary Warbasse: Henry Vander Veer was the owner and operator of a tug boat named Emma Bloecker. It was reported in The Evening Tribune of Grand Haven that Henry was "injured and may lose the sight of his eye."

2. Ruiet Pieter WIERENGER (Riewert, Reuert), Slager, geboren circa 1859 te MI USA. In de 1870 census was hij 6 jaar. Overleden op 22‑08‑1933 te Grand Haven, MI USA, "The deceased was born in this city; his family being one of the first pioneer families to come to this section from the Netherlands." It also reported, "He conducted a meat market here for many years and also at Chippewa Lake when the Wyman and Buswell Lumber Company was operating there." The article reported that for a number of years he was connected to the city water department of Grand Haven. Hij was de over‑overgrootvader van Mary Warbasse: Great grandfather Ruiet Wierenger had set up a meat market in Grand Haven and Chippewa Lake where Grand Haven lumbermen Wyman and Boswell had a second mill.--henk 18:57, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
