There was also a Nancy E Long, daughter of Peter and Catharine Long, born about 1851 in Ohio. She shows up in the 1860 census (in Franklin, Darke, Ohio) with some siblings, and in the 1880 census, living unmarried in Howard, Elk, Kansas with her parents. Since she was unmarried in 1880, she cannot have been the wife of Dennis Long.

At least one Public Member Tree at Ancestry.com identifies the wife of Dennis Campbell as being the daughter of David Long and Sarah Glover. The census data does not contradict this, other than the discrepancy in birth place of Nancy's father - given as Pennsylvania in her later census records, and as Maryland in the 1870 census.--DataAnalyst 04:47, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
